An unidentified man who was trying to break in and burglarize a business located at the 500 block of South Main Street, early this morning, ended up getting arrested instead, according to the O.C. Register.

On Saturday, April 1 at about 3:30 p.m. SAPD police officers responded to the area of 500 East Pine regarding a shooting that had just occurred, according to SAPD Case # 17-08711.

An SAPD police officer who was attempting to stop a SUV Thursday morning for a traffic violation prompted a pursuit that led to a collision before the driver was arrested at the 1400 block of South Maple Street, according to the O.C. Register.

On Tuesday, March 21 at about 7 p.m., an SAPD police officer heard gunshots in the area of 400 West 16th Street. A 19-year old female Hispanic shooting victim later arrived at the UCI Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound, according to SAPD Case # 17-07613. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury to her lower torso.
The shooting victim reported that at around 7 a.m. she was riding in a vehicle on North Ross Street that had turned onto 16th Street. She heard gunshots from a vehicle with four men inside, according to the O.C. Register. Continue reading
On Monday, March 20 at about 7:30 p.m., SAPD police officers were dispatched to 627 E. Pine Street reference calls of a shooting and multiple shots being heard. When police officers arrived they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. A witness reported seeing the suspect(s) flee in a vehicle, according to SAPD Case # 17-07497. On Saturday, March 11 at about 9 p.m. SAPD police officers responded to the area of 215 South Hickory after reports of a shooting. When they arrived they located a vehicle struck by gunfire, according to SAPD Case # 17-06591.
SAPD police officers responded to yet another a call regarding a male who was shot on Sunday at 10:40 p.m., at the 600 Block of East Pine St., in Santa Ana. A caller had reported the shooting occurred in the alley at that address, according to SAPD Case #: 1704066.
Police officers found one male adult victim with a single gunshot to the upper torso. Orange County Fire Authority responded and pronounced the male deceased at 10:55 PM. Continue reading
While the Santa Ana City Council considers blowing $123 million in Federal funds, while stubbornly clinging to their new Sanctuary City status, folks keep getting shot. Two more men were shot and wounded tonight – a day after two men were shot yesterday evening.
The bloody start to Santa Ana’s New Year continued on Friday, Jan. 20, with two more shootings.
At 3 p.m. a witness reported seeing a male pedestrian talking with a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped at around 719 East First Street, in Santa Ana. Then the pedestrian pulled out a handgun and he fired at the vehicle as it took off. The vehicle was damaged by the gunshot. Continue reading
The SAPD had a heck of a weekend as a total of five shootings went down on Saturday night. We had previously reported that there had been three shootings. But now that the smoke has cleared the SAPD investigators have increased the violent tally.
Overall six people were shot in Santa Ana on Saturday night. Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna admitted on Sunday that he couldn’t remember hearing about that many shootings in one night, according to the O.C. Register. Continue reading
It was another bloody and violent night in Santa Ana this evening as four men were hurt in three separate shootings, according to the O.C. Register.
The SAPD received a call just before 7 p.m. this evening about shots fired and a possible victim down at the 900 block of South Townsend Street. Sure enough when the police arrived at the scene they found a man who had been shot in his upper torso. The man is now in critical condition at a local hospital. Continue reading
