SANTA ANA – The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is holding two Public Participation Hearings (PPHs) at Delhi Center on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., to receive comments from the public about Southern California Edison Company’s (SCE’s) request to increase rates and revenue by $222 million by January 2018, an additional increase of $533 million in 2019, and $570 million in 2020.

The Delhi Center, in partnership with Active Learning and MASA, is hosting a Summer Enrichment Day Camp in English and Spanish from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on June 20 through August 18, 2016. This day camp is for children from ages 6 to 13. Lunch and snacks will be provided daily.
The summer day camp will include visual and performing arts classes, media arts training, and an end of summer talent show.
Participants will learn interviewing and storytelling techniques and will explore the arts, culture and the use of mixed media to create a film to showcase the rich history of their lives and their community. Continue reading

A special awards ceremony combines with live music to honor the 41 AmeriCorps members who serve at 36 nonprofit partner sites and schools throughout Orange County. Of these members, 18 CalPREP members promote college readiness at schools and nonprofits, 17 VIP members increase volunteer capacity at nonprofits and six DRVP members build non-profit disaster-preparedness programs. Delhi Neighborhood Community Building Initiative builds community connections with Officers
(Santa Ana, CA)- Over 70 Santa Ana residents gathered at the Delhi Center on May 7, 2015 to engage in conversation with Santa Ana Police Officers about crime and safety in the Delhi Neighborhood. Amidst the civil unrest in Baltimore and nationwide protests, the SAPD police officers and local residents took active steps towards building and strengthening relationships.
The event went over background on the Delhi Neighborhood as it is one of the most densely populated residential developments in Santa Ana. The Delhi Center is located in the center of the Delhi Neighborhood, an area with 10,643 in total population and comprised 95.1% Hispanic/Latino. Continue reading
