On Sunday, March 31, 2024, at 1:52 AM, police officers responded to a single vehicle traffic accident in the area of westbound McFadden Avenue and Vermont Street, according to the Westminster Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers found a white BMW had collided into a light pole and the adult male driver had been ejected from the vehicle.

The Orange County Fire Authority responded and pronounced the male deceased on scene.

The male driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and there were no other vehicles involved.

Anyone who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Investigator Stewart DeJong of the Westminster Police Department Traffic Division at (714) 548-3787, or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
