The SoCal Honda’s Helpful Guys in Blue will be surprising thousands of families, including Irvine residents, with complimentary pumpkins this Sunday. You are invited to join them on Saturday, Oct. 26th at the Johnson Brothers Pumpkin Patch, located at 15500 Jeffrey Rd., in Irvine. Click here for more info on their Facebook event page.

The Guys in Blue will be surprising residents with free pumpkins as they enter the patch, carrying pumpkins for visitors and more! Just ask! Walking ponies, shoveling up after the animals, providing complimentary waters, etc.. they’re here to help. They have surprised Irvine residents with large and small acts of helpful multiple times a month for the last 7 years –including pumping and paying for driver’s gas, cleaning up local parks, helping college students move-in, recognizing local teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week and much more.

Bring Helpful to Children’s Hospitals to Spread Halloween Cheer Across SoCal

WHAT: Halloween dates back to Celtic rituals thousands of years ago and has since evolved into a celebration characterized by fun kid’s activities, wild costumes, trick-or-treating and carving pumpkins.* But today’s weak economy may be scaring the fun out of Halloween. According to National Retail Federation, fewer people may be celebrating the holiday and most will be spending lessthis year.**

To help keep SoCal’s holiday spirit high, the Helpful Honda Guys, dressed in their popular blue polos,will be visiting over 20 pumpkin patches throughout October to surprise families with FREE pumpkins. Cities range from Ventura, Pasadena, Hollywood and Culver City, down to Whittier, Torrance, Irvine, San Juan Capistrano, Victorville, Riverside and Corona.

The Guys in Blue are also bringing Halloween to those kids in local hospitals. They willbe surprising kids with pumpkins for decorating, complimentary costumes and Halloween decorations. Children will be visited at various locations includingChildren’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children’s), Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach,Maxine Dunitz Children’s Health Center at Cedars-Sinai, Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA,Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Huntington Hospital (Pasadena), and more.

The SoCal Honda Dealers created the Helpful Guys in Blue both in the commercials and in the real-world to surprise residents with unexpected acts of helpful on a weekly basis, over the last 7 years!

Complimentary pumpkins across SoCal, giving back to children at local hospitals, and pumping and paying for Honda driver’s gasoline are just a few of the many ways helpful teams are lending a hand over the month of October. In 2013, the Guys in Blue visited an average of 100 locations each week –from the Inland Empire and Riverside County to Los Angeles and Orange Counties– to do small and large acts of kindness. They can be seen visiting groceries and shopping centers to open doors and load packages for residents, handing out umbrellas and providing escorts when it rains, picking up litter around town, volunteering, hosting pet adoption events to find homes for animals, and more.
