Our readers spotted a large number of SAPD police officers at Fairview and 9th this evening. Now we know what happened.

The SAPD responded to a an armed robbery tonight and as the suspect fled he contacted a second victim and took their vehicle, according to the SAPD’s Twitter account.

The police officers located the vehicle and a pursuit ensued. A felony car stop was initiated and the suspect was arrested.

The police officers were able to locate a handgun inside the vehicle.

The name of the suspect was not released.
