Amy Martinez, a 12-year-old girl, was walking to Lathrop Intermediate School this morning when an apparently deranged 34-year-old homeless woman, Claudia Cruz Hernandez, aka Claudia Hernandez Diaz, put her in what Martinez referred to as a bear hug and started walking away with her, according to KTLA.
Martinez bravely screamed for help – and Hernandez responded in Spanish by admonishing the little girl not to cry. Continue reading

A man was shot last night after 10 p.m. when he was sweeping a business parking lot in the 1100 block of South Main Street. He was confronted by a suspect who attempted to steal the victim’s bike and during the altercation, the victim was shot twice to the upper torso.

While the Major League Baseball All Star game festivities were starting up in San Diego, a man was getting shot and seriously injured in Santa Ana, on Monday night, at around 7:15 p.m., according to the O.C. Register.
