A man and woman were killed after they were struck by a car while attempting to cross an Anaheim street Friday night, May 12, according to the Anaheim Police Department.

The two pedestrians were found at the 1000 block of South Anaheim Boulevard by the responding Anaheim police officers. The accident scene was a couple blocks south of Walnut Grove Park.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the female victim was treated, but ended up dying of her wounds at a local hospital.

The victims were hit by a car that was traveling southbound. They were not in a crosswalk when they were struck.

The driver of the car was not driving under the influence and was not arrested. The Anaheim Police did not reveal the identity of the driver.

The pedestrians were not identified by the Anaheim police pending notification of their families.
