THEATRE OUT PRESENTS SEQUEL TO SMASH-HIT MUSICAL “LAST CHRISTMAS I GAVE YOU MY HEART BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY YOU SAID YOU WERE GAY” IN DECEMBER

Santa Ana, CA (11/17/2011) – Theatre Out is pleased to present the first-ever sequel to their smash hit holiday musical, Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart But The Very Next Day You Said You Were Gay. Opening on December 2, 2011, this new holiday musical by award-winning playwright Darcy Hogan picks up where the first left off. Set 10 years later at the North Pole, Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart But The Very Next Day You Said You Were Gay, Episode 2: The North Pole Strikes Back or; The Return of the Magi sees the return of Santa and has band of gay elves as they try to help Holly and Barry’s child overcome her conservative nature and discover the true gayness of the holiday season. Their plan is going along smoothly until a Tea Party activist follows Mrs. Claus home from the Betty Ford clinic and threatens to out Santa Claus to the world. Of course, true love wins the battle and saves the day.

The North Pole Strikes Back is a light-hearted look at the holiday season with a “nothing’s too sacred to laugh at” mantra featuring new twists on your favorite Christmas carols. “This is a great new holiday tradition that will have the audiences feeling the holiday spirit,” commented the productions director and Managing Director of Theatre Out, David C. Carnevale. “There are some new elves and new songs, but the spirit is the same.”

“Don’t be worried if you some how managed to miss the first episode,” commented Joey Baital, Producer and co-founder of Theatre Out. “You’ll be caught up in the first 5 minutes of the show, singing and dancing along with the elves!”

The original Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart But The Very Next Day You Said You Were Gay ran for three sold-out seasons at Theatre Out. The sequel features Theatre Out luminaries Andrea Dennison-Laufer, Tito Ortiz, JT Corzine, Alissa Sanchez, Lori Kelley, Jennifer Pearce, Topher Mauerhan and MaryAnne Mosher (returning as Judy the Elf).

Tickets for Last Christmas I Gave You My Heart But The Very Next Day You Said You Were Gay, Episode 2: The Norh Pole Strikes Back or; The Return of the Magi are $18 General admission and $15 for students with valid student ID and can be purchased at www.theatreout.com or at the Box Office on the night of the performance. All performances are at The Empire Theatre located at 202 N. Broadway in Santa Ana’s Artist Village.

  1. Admin do you know of any family Christmas events being held in the downtown area? Would love to take my kids down there but it sure seems like there is nothing for us. Looks like the gays have planted their flag in downtown.

    The hetero married Santa has his wife at home making cookies and warping toys and she seldom appears with Santa.

    Now the homo prop 8. marriage provides two Santas holding each other ass while cumming to your house via chimney.

    On the positive side it is good for children because they will get double toys providing that will put on table two glasses of milk and two cookies.
