SAPD MET detectives conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. The driver stated he was on probation but then admitted that he had a gun in his waistband. The driver was removed from his vehicle and taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the suspect the detectives located a loaded .22 caliber handgun. The suspect was booked at the Santa Ana Jail for several firearm violations.

Needless to say the suspect’s probation is over and he is likely heading back to prison. Some people never learn…

While conducting gang suppression, SAPD gang detectives contacted a gang member on probation inside an electrical room at the 700 block of S. Harbor Blvd.

The detectives had learned that the gang member was storing his property in the electrical room.

During a search of the room the detectives located a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol, meth and gang indicia. The suspect was arrested and booked at the Santa Ana Jail for various firearm related charges.

While conducting proactive enforcement, SAPD MET detectives contacted a suspect on a bicycle. During the contact it was determined that the suspect was a gang member and he had previously been convicted of a felony for violent crimes.

During a search of the bicycle the detectives located a .25 auto Titan firearm and narcotics. The suspect was apprehended without incident.

The firearm was later determined to have been stolen out of Huntington Beach.

SAPD police officers observed a suspicious parked vehicle with bullet holes along the driver’s side. Upon contact the officers located three suspects inside the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle the officers located a loaded .22 caliber firearm and narcotics.

One of the suspects was found to be a convicted felon on probation.

The probationer was arrested and he was booked at the Santa Ana Jail on narcotics and firearm-related charges.
