SACRAMENTO – California Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday today announced several ways Californians can safely help their communities while adhering to California public health officials’ guidance to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

California Volunteers has created a fact sheet which outlines the different ways individuals can help, such as donating to a food bank, delivering meals and supporting nonprofits in their community. The information can be found on [serve.ca.gov]serve.ca.gov and will be shared widely on social media.

“The health and safety of Californians is our top priority. It’s times like these where we need to come together as a state and look out for one another,” said Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday. “Those in need are going to be the most vulnerable in the coming weeks and while we take safety precautions, we are able to help one another during this difficult time.”
