Dignity for all

In Orange County, thousands of persons experience homelessness in a given year. Many remain homeless because they cannot access affordable housing, permanent supportive housing, medical care or benefits. Due to the lack of year-round emergency shelter, many homeless individuals are forced to live in public spaces and face criminal penalties for engaging in necessary activities – like sleeping in public – that are a direct result of their homeless status.

Join Heather Johnson, ACLU SoCal staff attorney on the Dignity for All Project, and community members for an important discussion on homelessness in Orange County and learn what you can do to help.

The event will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at Fairview Community Church, located at 2525 Fairview Road in Costa Mesa.

  1. I don’t want to sound faceitious but it makes more sense to reform police corruption,so hopelessly derelected peple are not beaten for moving aound and shouting like mad. All police are out to abuse sorry looking types. There is no reform policy so the homeless will be right where U see them for as long as they live.
