Over the past few weeks, Garden Grove Resort Unit and police detectives were investigating vehicle burglaries from the Garden Grove hotel district.

During the investigation, officers were able to obtain a suspect and vehicle (2019, black Mazda CX5) description, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

This morning, they located the suspect vehicle and made contacted with two subjects in the car, later identified as Trayvon Smith (30s, transient) and Amber Roque (30s, transient).

A subsequent search of the vehicle found numerous stolen items related to several burglary cases throughout southern California.

Both suspects were arrested and later booked for various charges. This investigation is ongoing.
