Last Thursday night, July 27, 2023, at 10:21 PM, Garden Grove Police Department police officers were dispatched to the area of Monarch St. and Chapman Ave. regarding a street takeover at an intersection.

Responding police units observed several vehicles actively engaging in a burn out “pit” with over one hundred spectators.

The police officers conducted enforcement and issued five citations, towed two vehicles, and arrested one driver.

The Garden Grove Police Dept. reminds us to not drive recklessly and/or street race, especially in Garden Grove. These activities are dangerous and illegal.
