Santa Ana summer day camps are back and the City of Santa’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services Agency (PRCSA) is now hiring for summer part-time jobs!

Get ready to jump into summer as the City of Santa’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services Agency (PRCSA) offers two exciting summer camp programs: Summer Splash Day Camp and Summer Fun Camp. Registration will open for all camps April 1st and with all these summer programming comes fantastic job opportunities!

  • Summer Splash Day Camp – Campers ages 6-12 will enjoy ten weeks of fun and creative summer programming. The camp is focused on fostering personal growth for youth by providing safe, enjoyable, and engaging outdoor activities. Camp participants can look forward to:
  • Weekly themed activities – Weekly off-site excursions every Thursday planned to match the activity of the week
  • Special entertainment and visits from our agency partners, such as the Santa Ana Zoo!
  • The American Red Cross Learn to Swim program FREE to all campers Monday – Wednesday.
    • Additional recreation swim opportunities under the supervision of certified city lifeguards.

Pricing – Guardians and parents can enroll their campers in individual weeks at one of three available sites: El Salvador Center, Jerome Center, or Salgado Center:

  • Resident fees: $115, and $73 per additional family participant.
  • Non-resident fee: $135 weekly, and $93 per additional family participant.
  • Weekly fees are all-inclusive covering activities, lunches, excursions, and one Summer Splash Day Camp shirt.

Summer Fun Camp – This free ten week camp is designed for children ages 6 years old to 12 years old. The Summer Fun Program prides itself in celebrating and nurturing the social, emotional, and physical development of all youth by offering opportunities to build relationships, learn, grow, create, and discover your true self. Participants can look forward to:

  • Daily programming
  • A wide variety of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, group games, science fun, and more!
  • Visits from our agency partners, such as the Santa Ana Zoo every other Thursday and the Santa Ana Library Knowledge Mobile.

The Summer Fun program will take place at the at the Roosevelt-Walker Community Center from June 3 to August 9 Monday thru Friday from 11am to 5pm. Now hiring for part-time jobs!

With all these summer programs comes fantastic job opportunities. Join us for an in-person hiring fair on Wednesday, March 6 and April 10, 2024 as the Santa Ana Parks, Recreation & Community Services Agency (PRCSA) will be hiring for various positions. Summer camp positions will range from camp counselors, life guards, swim instructors, cashiers, and pool managers to name a few.

In addition to summer camp positions PRCSA will also be seeking applicants who are innovative, enthusiastic, and results oriented individuals for the following program sections:

  • Aquatics
  • Athletics
  • Community engagement
  • Health & wellness
  • Special events
  • Youth & teens
  • Zoo

For those under 18 who are unable to present a document from the list can provide: school record or report card, doctor record, or day-care record.
  • Social security account number card, birth certificate, Native American tribal document, U.S. citizen identification card form I-179, employment authorization document issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
