The Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District (OCMVCD) will be conducting residential mosquito control applications via truck in the City of Santa Ana. The treatment area will be located in a neighborhood at the cross streets of East 5th Street and N. Bush St.

The applications are taking place to reduce the number of mosquitoes and the risk of mosquito-borne disease in the community. OCMVCD will continue to conduct surveillance in this area in the coming weeks and additional treatments may be scheduled based on surveillance data.

Residents that are in the treatment area will be notified via door hanger. The flyer team will be distributing the door hangers starting today Tuesday, August 8th. Santa Ana residents can check if they reside in the treatment area by entering their address into the interactive map: https://bit.ly/NeighborhoodMosquitoControl.

Treatment Application Dates and Times:

  • When: August 10th , 11th and 12th
  • Time: 2:00 am to 5:00 am
  • Treatment: Truck applications with DeltaGard

At the application rate this product will not harm:

  • People or pets, even if present during the application
  • Fruit trees, vegetable gardens, or fish ponds
  • There is no need to turn off air conditioning systems during the application
  • The product is applied at a time when bees are not active.
