On Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 12:26 AM, Santa Ana Police Communications received a report of a shooting victim at the 800 south block of Townsend Street. Officers responded and located a male down suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to his upper torso. Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The circumstances or motive surrounding the male’s death are currently being investigated. The identity of the male adult remains unknown pending identification by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.
Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can shed light on this incident.
