On Saturday, February 12, 2022, at 11:43 PM, Santa Ana Police Communications received a report of a shooting victim at Maple Street/Pine Street.

Officers responded and located a male down suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his upper torso.

Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The circumstances surrounding this homicide are currently being investigated.

The Orange County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Cesar Fierros Gonzalez (36) of Santa Ana.

Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can shed light on this incident.
