The Voice of OC decries the loss of local news in our nation, however they have not written even one post about the DUI accident and arrest of Alfonso Alvarez, the V.P. of the SAUSD School Board.

The Voice of OC states right on their website that their mission is to “empower and inform residents with essential Orange County news.”

A Santa Ana school board member gets drunk, decides to drive, gets into a car accident, admits being drunk, gets arrested and the Voice of OC does not consider this to be essential news?

Would they have covered this story if Alvarez had killed someone? Or if he was a Republican and not a progressive Democrat?

They wrote about a DUI incident involving the now former leader of the SAPD police union. They even wrote about State Senator Dave Min’s recent DUI (and he is a Democrat). Why then ignore the Alvarez drunken debacle?

If you would like to let the Voice of OC know how you feel about this omission you can contact them here.

  1. Real answer Art is this doesn’t fit the VOC’S narrative.

Speaking of Vern Nelson, I lost all respect for Norberto Santana when he all but defended Nelson for calling Anaheim Councilmember Jose Diaz a F@%king retard because of his thick accent. To make matters worse Vern and co m pants took to calling him Rickey Retardo.

Santana is a pussy. A Shill for UNITE HERE and the OCEA.

    1. Santana also lives in a very nice part of south Orange County but the Voice of OC always complains about the wealthy. Do as I say not as I do…
