Time for Van Tran (R-CA-47) to Answer Some Questions
Van Tran, running against Representative Loretta Sanchez, has kept a noticeably low profile on the campaign trail these past months. No surprise there.
After all, earlier this year an Orange County Register investigation revealed that Tran received $137,000 in tax-free, taxpayer funded per diem during his years in Sacramento, which he used to purchase a 2,658-square-foot house allowing him to, as the Register noted, “…enjoy every aspect of home life while also collecting more than $137,000 in allowance for being away from home during the legislative session.”
And let’s not forget about Tran’s interference last August in a DUI investigation involving a local city councilmember. Tran was so disruptive, and had to be warned multiple times not to interfere, that a police sergeant on the scene had to threaten him with arrest to get him to stay away.
“For months and months, Van Tran’s done everything he can to avoid answering the tough questions, but now that he’s the nominee, Tran owes Orange County voters a full explanation of exactly what happened,” said Andy Stone, Western Regional Press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The facts state the obvious. Van Tran has no morals. He has ripped off California. With the scheming greedy way he glommed on to this per diem goldmine, I would never trust his integrity. You can bet there is alot more to the Andy Quach drunk driving incident. Both Quach and Tran are basically saying so what. Viets after all will vote Viet anyway. Please continue to inform the public as to how Van Tran refuses to respect the public with his silence on these matters.
The Republicans are so funny, when the economy is good you say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. When most Americans (with Latin America roots) go to the polls this November we will remember that the GOP has gone on a nationwide rant in proposing and passing several anti-immigration legislation and have continue to blame us for the flat economy or worse. We will remember who stands with us and who stands against us, so trying to stop it now is somewhat funny, but go ahead, you will not change our minds. Is does not help that the GOP has recently attacked the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Your hate made you do it, in November; you will reap what you have sown.
