Training Advisory: Santa Ana Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority Will Be Conducting Joint Training Exercise

On Friday, October 9, 2015 at about 1430 hrs. the Santa Ana Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) will be conducting a training exercise at #4 Hutton Center Dr., a 10-story high rise office building. The property’s management team and security officers will interact with the SWAT Team throughout the exercise. Orange County Fire Authority will also be present and will take part in the exercise. The training is expected to last 6 to 7 hours.

The purpose of the training exercise is to evaluate the SWAT Team’s readiness, tactics, and equipment. Throughout the exercise it’s expected the SWAT Team will conduct a building search, crisis negotiations, tactical actions to preserve life such as active shooter response, officer down drills, and hostage rescues. Also a coordinated rescue effort with OCFA involving casualty evacuations from an active crime scene will be part of the training.

  1. These drills are helpful to first responders. I wouldn’t doubt the DPOC is running active shooter drills at the plumbers hall as Greg Diamond continues to spin out of control. Luckily, the only real danger that guy poses is BORING someone to death, still the guy could wipe out scores of good people with that HOT AIR BLATHER!
