Santa Ana Machine Shop fire 2

A local machine shop, JD Industries, was damaged by a fire on Sunday morning at 11:45 a.m., fire officials said.  The business was closed when the fire broke out.

Thirty-five Orange County Fire Authority firefighters responded shortly before the location, at 1636 E. Edinger Ave., in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.

The blaze was brought under control by 12:15 p.m. The fire did an estimated $500,000 in damage to the machine shop, $300,000 to the structure and $200,000 to its contents, according to the OCFA, as reported on their Twitter feed.

JD Industries was established in 1984 and incorporated in California. Current estimates show this company has an annual revenue of less than $500,000 and employs a staff of approximately 1 to 4, according to Manta.
