The Costa Mesa Police Dept arrested four DUI suspects at their recent DUI and Drivers License Checkpoint

The Costa Mesa Police Department’s DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on E. 17th Street and Westminster Avenue, on Saturday night, Dec. 14, 2024, contacted a total of 240 vehicles and yielded 16 field evaluations for impairment, 4 DUI arrests, 10 citations issued for driver’s license related violations, and six vehicles were seized, stored and impounded.

The CMPD thanks all those that drove through and were patient – a total of 549 vehicles passed through this checkpoint.

The CMPD is committed to reducing injuries and fatalities on the road due to impairment. Help them to keep the streets safe for everyone, don’t drive under the influence and obey all traffic laws.
