Santa Ana – Firefighters were alerted to a house fire at the 2000 block of S Birch St. at 6:20 p.m.today, according to the OCFA.

Engine 74 found a single story house well involved in fire and requested a working structure assignment.

The fire crews aggressively attacked the blaze and prevented it from extending to an adjacent structure.

The firefighters got the fire under control 26 minutes later.

No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Assistance was provided by the SAPD.
