A small plane crashed on the Northeastern part of the field at John Wayne Airport, injuring the pilot and a passenger at around 10:40 a.m. local time on Sunday, Feb. 11, according to the FAA.
One of the patients required extrication from the aircraft. Both patients were transported to area hospitals, according to the OCFA.
Commercial operations at JWA were not affected.
