Flames were blowing out the garage of a house on Aberdeen Lane in Garden Grove last night when neighbors called 911 at 7:38 p.m., according to the OC Fire Authority.

Firefighters arrived to an adult resident with severe burn injuries outside, a dog running back inside, and heavy fire already extending in the home.

The firefighters quickly treated and transported the resident to the hospital, safely rescued the dog from inside the home, and knocked down the fire in just 16 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The OCFA thanks the Anaheim Fire Department and the Garden Grove Police Department for the teamwork. They also thank neighbor Fernando for the video footage.
