Have you heard about Jesse Ruiz?  He was raised in Santa Ana, where he lived in abject poverty and slept on the floor of a garage, according to Cage Radio’s blog, and he has just qualified for Mexico’s Olympic team, in wrestling.  Jesse’s parents were born in Mexico.

Jesse, trains and coaches at the Citadel in Charleston South Carolina. While he does indeed have wrestling, financially he’s still flat broke.  Any and all help we can provide with regard to his fundraising efforts would be greatly appreciated.

You can contact Jesse at his email address of JesseSGM@gmail.com or on his cell phone at 714-360-5488.

Watch Jesse’s emotional interview with Jason Bryant of USA Wrestling, above this post.

  1. Will he be doing Greco-Roman? I thought companies like UPS, IBM, etc hire these Olympic guys and give them jobs that allow them to make some cash and practice their events. Do the Mexican companies do that as well? Good luck to Jesse. Hope to see you in the Lucha Libre real soon!
