On Tuesday night, officers noticed a minivan displaying a license plate that belonged to another car, according to the Irvine Police Department.

In police jargon, that is called a “cold-plated” vehicle.

Irvine police officers stopped the car and determined the van had been stolen from Long Beach. They recovered the stolen car and transported the driver to Orange County Jail.
