Today, January 25, 2024 at 5:45 AM, police officers responded to the area of Coast St. and Garden Grove Blvd. for an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

The victim stated he was in his parked car when a male subject, possibly a transient, knocked on the window, asking for money. When the victim rolled down his window to hand him change, the suspect began stabbing him in the hand. The suspect then robbed the victim and fled the scene.
