Santa Ana Mid-Autumn Festival set for Saturday October 5

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The City of Santa Ana invites the community to join in the celebration of its third annual Mid-Autumn Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at Centennial Park, 3000 W. Edinger Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. This beloved festival highlights Asian cultures and honors Santa Ana’s vibrant Vietnamese community.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a traditional celebration of the fall harvest and full moon. It is a time when families come together to share in the joy of the season and appreciate the bountiful harvests after a year of labor and care.

“On behalf of the Santa Ana City Council, I invite everyone in our community to join us for this spectacular event,” Mayor Valerie Amezcua said. “The City of Santa Ana is proud to embrace this cultural tradition, fostering community connections and celebrating the diversity that makes Santa Ana special.”

This year, guests of the event can look forward to:

  • Acrobat performance
  • Lion Dance
  • Live entertainment
  • Cultural exhibits
  • Kids zone with inflatables
  • Food
  • Vendors
  • Mooncakes and lanterns (while supplies last, starting at 5 p.m.)

The event is free, family-friendly and open to all. On-site event parking is available at no cost. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics.

The 2024 event is proudly supported by the City of Santa Ana’s title level partners and local non-profits, Asian American Senior Citizens Services Center and Project Kinship.
