SANTA ANA, Calif. – The City of Santa Ana’s 2024 Juneteenth celebration will bring an exciting picnic atmosphere with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, delicious food vendors and more as we celebrate this holiday marking the end of slavery in the United States.

The Santa Ana Juneteenth Picnic will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Centennial Park, located at 3000 W. Edinger Ave. The event will feature DJ A-One and Bruno and the Hooligans, a Bruno Mars tribute band, as well as family activities, a Kids Zone with multiple inflatables, and a variety of food vendors.

Admission and parking are free, and everyone in the community is invited to attend. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs as the community comes together to foster connections, play games, and enjoy live performances. The Juneteenth Picnic will be a time for reflection, appreciation, and celebration of the progress made toward equality for all.

Following a competitive bid process open to all community-based organizations, professional event producers and non-profit organizations, the City selected Temecula-based national event marketing and entertainment agency Soundskilz to run the Juneteenth event.

Visit Soundskilz’s website for more event information, or go to the City of Santa Ana Parks and Recreation annual events website.
