Fusong Lun arrested by the Irvine Police on pimping pandering and controlled substance charges

On the evening of February 26, 2025, the Irvine Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU), along with members of the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF), served a search warrant on a suspected brothel at a residence in the area of Yale and Walnut.

During the warrant service, detectives discovered several items indicative of a brothel, a male in charge of the operation, as well as four adult female victims.

Fusong Lun, a 44-year-old resident of Monterey Park, was arrested for p*mping, pandering, and possession of a controlled substance.

Lun was booked at Orange County Jail.

The four females were offered resources and released from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

In California, the penalties for p*mping, pandering, and possession of a controlled substance are quite severe. Here’s a breakdown of each offense:

P*mping (Penal Code § 266h)

Pimping involves deriving financial support from the earnings of a prostitute. It is a felony offense with the following penalties:

  • Imprisonment: 3, 4, or 6 years in state prison.
  • Fines: Up to $10,000.

Pandering (Penal Code § 266i)

Pandering involves procuring another person for the purpose of prostitution. It is also a felony with similar penalties:

  • Imprisonment: 3, 4, or 6 years in state prison.
  • Fines: Up to $10,000.

Possession of a Controlled Substance (Health and Safety Code § 11350)

The penalties for possession of a controlled substance depend on the type and amount of the substance, as well as the defendant’s criminal history. Generally, possession of a controlled substance is a misdemeanor, but it can be charged as a felony under certain circumstances:

  • Misdemeanor: Up to 1 year in county jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000.
  • Felony: 16 months, 2, or 3 years in county jail and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
