An induction ceremony for the 2023 Inaugural Class of 10 honorees into the Orange County Hall of Fame will take place on Friday, January 12, 2024. The 10 inductees represent achievements in five categories:

  • Music, Arts & Entertainment
  • Sports
  • Business
  • Philanthropy
  • Civics

In early 2023, Board of Supervisors Chairman Don Wagner and Vice Chair Andrew Do formed a subcommittee to develop and establish the Orange County Hall of Fame. By unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors, the Orange County Hall of Fame was established on November 28, 2023, to recognize and honor the individuals who have significantly contributed to the fabric of Orange County’s rich cultural, societal, and professional landscape.

The Inaugural 10 Inductees:          

  1. Frank Jao – Business
  2. General William Lyon – Civics
  3. Walt Disney – Music, Arts & Entertainment
  4. Bill Medley – Music, Arts & Entertainment
  5. Gwen Stefani – Music, Arts & Entertainment
  6. Henry Segerstrom – Philanthropy
  7. Amanda Beard – Sports
  8. Kobe Bryant – Sports
  9. Greg Louganis – Sports
  10. Tiger Woods – Sports

WHEN: Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10 am – Noon

The Orange County Hall of Fame is located at the County Administration North (CAN) Building in the lobby outside of the Board Hearing Room. The induction ceremony will be held in the Board Hearing Room. Inside seating is limited to inductees and their invited guests. Public viewing of the ceremony will be available outside of CAN in the courtyard.

Chairman Don Wagner, Vice Chairman Andrew Do, and the Orange County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to establish the Orange County Hall of Fame and the inaugural class on Nov. 28, 2023.

“This Hall of Fame signifies a pivotal moment for our community, where we come together to honor those who have shaped Orange County through their remarkable contributions,” said Chairman Don Wagner. “It’s an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our residents whose impact resonates within and beyond our county.”

The Orange County Hall of Fame aims to recognize and honor outstanding individuals who have significantly contributed to the fabric of Orange County’s rich cultural, societal, and professional landscape.

“From the Olympics to the Grammys, Orange County’s residents have achieved excellence at the highest levels,” said Vice Chairman Andrew Do. “We’re proud to commemorate Orange County’s past as we inspire the next generation of residents to achieve remarkable success in business, music, sports, and the arts.”
