The Discovery Science Center has a fun New Year’s Eve event set for today, December 31, 2012, for your kids!
5, 4, 3, 2, 1! The countdown has begun to Noon Year’s Eve on December 31. Why stay up till midnight? Noon Year’s Eve is jam-packed with fun activities to kick off 2013!
- Join us for a balloon drop complete with a countdown and toast at 12pm & 2pm
- Create chemical reactions as canisters pop and fly in the air
- Dress up in your favorite 80s gear and get your groove on at our 80s dance parties at 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3pm
- Learn about time zones and see who’s celebrating around the world
- Get your picture with the famous DeLorean car from the 80′s!
- And much more!
Don’t miss this exciting family event for all ages on December 31! Noon Year’s Eve is included in general Science Center admission.

Teachers
Credentialed teachers who are members of our Teacher Education Network get free general admission everyday! Simply log on to discoverycube.org/ten to register and download your teacher admission ticket. Please note that valid credentials (ID/badge or pay stub and valid ID) are required to verify current teacher status. Identification must have current year listed.
Santa Ana Free Day
Santa Ana residents receive up to 4 free admissions per address with valid ID (proof of residency) on the first Tuesday of every month. Cannot be combined with any other discount or offer. Excludes special events and ticketed exhibitions or shows.
Bank of America Free Day
Bank of America cardholders receive free admission on the first Saturday of each month. Photo ID and any valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card must be presented. One free general admission limited to cardholder only. Excludes special events and ticketed exhibitions or shows. Cannot be combined with any other discount or offer.
Military Discount
Members of the Military receive 10% off for up to 6 general admission tickets. Valid Military ID is required for discount. Cannot be combined with any other discount or offer.
ASTC Passport Program
Members of ASTC participating museums receive free general admission for two named adult members and two children (ages 3-17) or one named adult member and up to 3 children (ages 3-17). Membership card w/ASTC logo and photo ID are required for discount. We do not accept payment receipts as proof of membership. We are located at the intersection of Main Street and the 5 freeway in Santa Ana, just 1/2 mile north of 17th Street and 1/4 mile south of the Main Place Mall.
From the North:
Coming from the North, take the 5 South. Exit at Main North and Broadway in Santa Ana. You will see a sign for Discovery Science Center. Turn left at Santa Clara, Turn left again onto Main Street. Discovery Science Center is on the left side of Main Street. Turn Left into our parking lot at 2500 North Main Street.
From the South:
Coming from the South, take the 5 north. Exit at Main Street North and Broadway in Santa Ana. You will see a sign for Discovery Science Center. Turn right onto Main Street, cross the intersection. Discovery Science Center is on the left side of Main Street. Turn left into our parking lot at 2500 North Main Street.
