Car used by a murder suspect in Anaheim identified by OC Sheriff investigators

OC Sheriff investigators have identified the vehicle involved in a Oct. 13 homicide in Anaheim as a silver 2007 Lincoln MKZ [CA 6ANY798] with a light-colored interior.

At approximately 10:10 p.m. on Oct. 13, 2024, deputies responded to a shooting in the 11500 block of Mossler Street in unincorporated Anaheim.

Upon arrival, they found a 50-year-old man, later identified as Jorge Sanchez Tapia, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Multiple suspects fled the scene in a silver 2007 Lincoln MKZ [CA 6ANY798] with a light-colored interior.

Homicide investigators are actively seeking additional information. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at (714) 647-7000. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS.
