While conducting a routine patrol check of Cavanaugh Park, in Lake Forest, on November 7 around 8:30 am, an O.C.Sheriff deputy observed an occupied vehicle parked on Gowdy.

Upon approaching the vehicle, she discovered two males asleep, with the passenger holding a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue. A subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants uncovered a 75-gallon nitrous oxide tank, a loaded syringe, switchblade knife, and additional narcotics, including 8 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, 10 pounds of marijuana, 12 grams of methamphetamine, and 2.5 grams of fentanyl, along with oxycodone pills.

Following a thorough investigation, deputies decided to collect the evidence, issue a citation and release one of the occupants, while recommending the District Attorney pursue multiple drug-related and sales charges against the other occupant.
