Last night, OC Sheriff SET deputies were patrolling the dimly lit alleyways of Saguaro and Raton, where the walls have recently been plagued by graffiti, according to the Lake Forest division of the OC Sheriff.

Suddenly, they spotted three figures darting away. The deputies quickly exited their vehicle and instantly detected the unmistakable scent of fresh spray paint lingering in the air (a telltale clue).

After a short foot pursuit, they apprehended one suspect. He was found wearing gloves stained with green paint, matching the fresh graffiti adorning the nearby wall (yet another clue). This suspect however was no Picasso!

Subsequently, the suspect was arrested on charges of vandalism, gang enhancements, resisting arrest, and a probation hold.

Allowing taggers to get away with their crimes is a huge mistake. They are often involved in other crimes and in gangs. Kudos to the OC Sheriff for making sure at least one tagger will end up doing time.

If only the police in Santa Ana were this vigilant.
