On Friday, June 10, 2022, at 10:13 PM, Santa Ana Police Communications received a report of a house fire at the 5000 block of West McFadden Avenue. Officers and Orange County Fire Authority responded and discovered the home fully engulfed in flames. Orange County Fire extinguished the fire and discovered a deceased male inside. The investigation revealed the fire was intentionally set.

On Tuesday June 14, 2022, Homicide Detectives gained additional information on the case, which prompted them to return to the house. Orange County Fire Authority also responded and conducted an additional search of the home, at the detectives’ request. During this search, a deceased female victim was located under debris.

The circumstances surrounding these homicides are currently being investigated.

Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can shed light on this incident.
