A family is in mourning after a motorcyclist, Erik Herrera, who was killed in Santa Ana this week.

According to the man’s family, the crash happened on Tuesday near Bristol and Central, just one streetlight from his home.

The family has started a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral and hospital expenses.

Erik’s family had this to say about the young man: “He was a caring loving person who always had a smile on his face. He made everyone laugh and always saw the positive to every situation. He touched a lot of hearts and his presence will forever be missed.”

His family asks that we all please watch out for motorcyclists. Several of them have been killed in collisions in Santa Ana in the past few weeks.
