A driver crashed into a tree and died in the Floral Park neighborhood early this morning

Advisory: SAPD Investigation – Single-vehicle Fatal Collision- 600 Block West Santa Clara Ave

Decedent- John Doe

On Saturday 03/17/18 at 0240 hours, officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at 600 W. Santa Clara Ave.

Based on the investigation, a silver Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Santa Clara Av. from Heliotrope Av. when the driver veered off the roadway and struck a tree located on the south side of the street.

Orange County Fire Authority and Care Ambulance responded to the scene and the driver (sole occupant) was pronounced deceased. Alcohol may have been factor in the collision.

The case is still under investigation by the Santa Ana Police Collision Investigation Unit.
