An OCFA fire crew and SAPD police officers found a body inside a burning car parked on a driveway of a Santa Ana home at the 900 block of South Hickory Street at about 7:30 a.m. this Friday morning, July 13, according to the O.C. Register.
The firemen extinguished the car, which was burning in the driveway of a home. While firefighters were in the process of putting out the fire, they found a body inside the vehicle, according to ABC News. Continue reading→
The same week that an Orange County Judge stopped the County of Orange from removing the homeless from the Santa Ana River trail, Marilyn Fajardo, a 26-year-old allegedly homeless woman was arrested in Santa Ana on suspicion of starting a fire that burned a tree, a storage container and two semi-truck trailers, according to the SAPD.

On Friday, 01/19/2018 at 8:20 am, SAPD officers responded to the vacant lot in the 1300 block of West Tolliver for a tent fire. Officers located the fire and two victims, one male and one female, who advised they were inside their tent when the suspect, who they described as male Hispanic, 35-40 years old, wearing black slacks and a black coat, approached their tent. The suspect then told the occupants they had 15 minutes to leave the area or he would return with his Glock handgun. The male occupant in the tent stuck his head out to talk to the suspect and was immediately kicked twice on the head by the suspect. Continue reading→

SAPD police officers responded to a collision involving a single vehicle into a commercial business early this morning, at the 300 block of East 17th St.. Upon arrival the police officers observed an occupied white sedan that was partially wedged into the second floor of a dental office.
They determined the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, northbound on French approaching 17th. The driver continued northbound and struck the raised center median on 17th, which launched the vehicle into the air. The vehicle struck the 2nd floor of the building and remained lodged. A brush fire, named the Canyon Fire 2, is burning in Orange County near Gypsum Canyon, Anaheim Hills and towards the cities of Tustin and Orange. The burn area is reported to be 7,500 acres this morning, with 5 percent containment. Smoke is currently heavy in the vicinity. Breezy winds from the east will transition to a sea breeze from the southwest starting around 11 a.m. Smoke and ash impacts will be greatest in the vicinity of the fire and downwind into portions of Orange County this morning and likely into Riverside County this afternoon, depending on evolving fire conditions.
