On Friday, April 8, 2022, at 11:40 P.M., Santa Ana Police Communications received reports of a stabbing victim at 1600 E. Palm Street. Officers responded and located a male down in the driveway suffering from an apparent stab wound to his upper torso. Orange County Fire Authority arrived on scene and transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.

As officers were on scene, they were flagged down regarding a second stabbing victim at 300 N. Wright Street. The second victim was suffering from several stab wounds to his upper torso. He was treated at the scene by medics and transported to a local hospital where he is listed to be in stable condition. At 12:46 A.M., the first victim was pronounced deceased.

The circumstances or motive surrounding the stabbings are currently being investigated. Both victims are juveniles. The decedent’s name is not being released pending notification of next of kin by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.

Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can shed light on this incident.

  1. Clearly gang related. There’s graffiti all over there right now threatening revenge for whoever did that to their “ boys “. The homeless are dangerous but the ones around there are mainly junkies. I should be a detective.
