The SAPD responded to a call about a shooting this evening just past 7 p.m. near West Kent Avenue and Newhope Street. Two male juveniles were shot and injured. They appear to have been on bicycles when they came under fire.
The shooting occurred near Newhope Elementary School, just south of the Newhope Assembly of God Church.

The two victims were taken to a local hospital with injuries deemed to be non-life-threatening, according to the SAPD.
The SAPD did not release any information about possible suspects and no one has been arrested yet.
It is not know if there are any other suspects or what the motive for the shooting was.
