On Sunday night, a police officer made a traffic stop in the east part of town on a vehicle missing license plates. He quickly learned the pair both had felony warrants for their arrest, according to the Irvine Police Department.

Wet, freshly cut back-flow devices, a Sawzall, saw blades, a window punch, miscellaneous burglary tools, and narcotics paraphernalia, were found in their vehicle.

The police officers linked two back-flow devices to a nearby business in Lake Forest, where they had just been stolen.

Briana Patino, 20, and Jorge Mario Muralles, 35, of Los Angeles, were booked at Orange County Jail for their warrants and a garden variety of charges, including grand theft and conspiracy.

These suspects should have stayed in Los Angeles! They will surely be prosecuted severely here in Orange County.
