The O.C. Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of April 29 to May 7. Most of these eateries reopen pretty quickly after the health inspectors determine their issues have been resolved.

  • Cozy Corner Drive-In, 426 N. Harbor Blvd., Santa Ana, Closed: May 5, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: May 7
  • Gypsy Cafe, 9741 Bolsa Ave., Suite 120, Westminster, Closed: May 4, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: May 4
  • Sushi Warriors, 8851 Garden Grove Blvd., Suite 113, Garden Grove, Closed: May 4, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Kobe Bistro, 9822 Bolsa Ave., Suite B, Westminster, Closed: April 29, Reason: Sewage overflow water
  • Reopened: May 3
  • Santa Maria BBQ, 7144 Edinger Ave., Huntington Beach, Closed: May 3, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Huntington Beach Beer Co., 201 Main St., Suite E, Huntington Beach, Closed: May 4, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: May 5
  • Banquet room, snack bar and kitchen at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, 26772 Avery Parkway, Mission Viejo, Closed: May 3, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: May 5
  • Update: Gallagher’s Irish Pub at 300 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 113, Huntington Beach, which was ordered closed April 28 because of a cockroach infestation, was allowed to reopen April 30.
  • Update: Gong’s Chinese Food at 6815 Warner Ave., Huntington Beach, which was ordered closed April 27 because of a cockroach infestation, was allowed to reopen April 28.
  • Update: Big Fish Little Fish at 26705 Aliso Creek Road, Aliso Viejo, which was ordered closed April 27 because of insufficient hot water, was allowed to reopen April 28.
  • Update: My Tho House at 1314 S. Magnolia Ave., Anaheim, which was ordered closed April 22 because of a cockroach infestation, was allowed to reopen April 30.
