The OC Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of May 16 to May 24. Most of these eateries reopen pretty quickly after the health inspectors determine their issues have been resolved. Here is the list:

  • Birrieria Nochistlan, 1628 S. Standard Ave., Santa Ana, Closed: May 20, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: May 21
  • Eight Korean BBQ, 6681 Beach Blvd., Suite C, Buena Park, Closed: May 24, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: May 24
  • Top One Buffet & Grill, 104 W. Orangethorpe Ave., Fullerton, Closed: May 23, Reason: Rodent infestation
  • Picante’s, 907 S. Euclid Ave., Anaheim, Closed: May 23, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: May 24
  • Thai & Chinese Express, 2540 Main St., Suite J, Irvine, Closed: May 22, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Avocado Cafe, 6060 Scholarship, Irvine, Closed: May 22, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: May 24
  • Roscoe’s House of Chicken N Waffles, 2110 S. Harbor Blvd., Anaheim, Closed: May 22, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Burrito Brothers, 1403 E. Lambert Road, Suite B, La Habra, Closed: May 22, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: May 22

  • The Flame Broiler, 4525 W. Coast Highway, Suite B, Newport Beach, Closed: May 16, Reason: Sewage overflow, Reopened: May 16
  • Fitbites, 9965 Ellis Ave., Suite 2, Fountain Valley, Closed: May 16, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: May 16
  • Update: Beba’s at 1909 E. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim, closed May 16 because of a cockroach infestation, reopened May 17.
  • Update: Hot Pot Legend at 6638 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, closed May 13 because of sewage overflow, reopened May 13.
