WESTMINSTER, Calif. – On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at approximately 1:13 AM, Westminster Police Dispatch received numerous calls reporting what sounded like gunshots being fired in the 7700 block of Westminster Boulevard.
Westminster Police Detectives served a search warrant at an illegal gambling establishment in the area on the morning of January 31, 2023.
Officers arrived on the scene and located 7-8 shell casings in the alleyway as well as a vehicle with one bullet in it. The owner of the vehicle was at the location at the time of the shooting.
WPD Detectives are currently reviewing videos from surrounding businesses for any evidence or leads. There were no victims of gunshot wounds located at the scene or in the area hospitals.
