January 9, 2025 — The Santa Ana Police Department seized dangerous narcotics in two successful operations.
On January 8, 2025, the Santa Ana Police Department’s Directed Enforcement Team conducted two successful narcotics enforcement operations at the Royal Roman Motel on 1504 East 1st Street. These operations led to the arrests of three individuals and the seizure of substantial quantities of illegal and dangerous drugs, further demonstrating the Department’s unwavering commitment to public safety.
The first incident occurred at approximately 9:58 p.m., as officers were conducting narcotics enforcement in the 1500 block of East 1st Street. Following an investigation, officers authored and executed a search warrant for a hotel room at the Royal Roman resulting in the seizure of 60 grams of fentanyl, 78 grams of methamphetamine, 80 fentanyl pills, and 132 Xanax pills. One suspect was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale.
Approximately an hour later, at 11:00 p.m., officers conducted a second investigation at the same location. This operation led to the recovery of an additional 7.5 grams of fentanyl and 72 counterfeit M30 fentanyl pills. Two individuals were arrested on narcotics-related charges, including outstanding warrants.
“These arrests highlight the commitment of the Santa Ana Police Department to combat the distribution of illegal and dangerous drugs in our community,” said Chief Rodriguez. “Fentanyl and other narcotics continue to pose a significant threat to public health and safety, and we will remain relentless in our efforts to disrupt drug trafficking and hold offenders accountable.”
