The SAPD responded today at around 11:15 a.m. to reports of a man holding a gun in the front yard of his property, at the 1400 block of Van Ness Avenue, according to the O.C. Register.

The situation appears to be ongoing and has been described as a barricade scenario. Santa Ana police were at the scene with an armored vehicle, according to ABC News.

The police arrived at the scene after getting calls from concerned residents.

The block was shut down from Edinger Avenue to Borchard Street, according to the SAPD.

No other details are available yet.
