To kick off National Public Works Week in May, the City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency invites you, your family and friends to a free community event on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Walnut Water Pump Station located at 723 W. Walnut St.
Highlights of the event include free tacos to the first 500 guests, prizes, tours of the state-of-the-art water pump station, a water pipe connection competition, Public Works exhibits and large equipment displays, including exhibits from the Neighborhood Initiative and Environmental Services team, Santa Ana Public Library, Santa Ana Police Department, Orange County Fire Authority, and OC Adopt-a- Pet with live animals. Plus captivating musical performances by student groups from Santa Ana High School.
All this is free to you, your family, friends, and neighbors!

The Public Works Agency, with six divisions and professional staff of more than 330 employees, is responsible for maintaining Santa Ana’s infrastructure and quality of life. We build and maintain all public streets, storm drains, sewers, and water facilities, as well as coordinate trash collection and recycling, street sweeping, public right-of-way landscaping and graffiti removal.
