MOMS ORANGE COUNTY PARTNERS WITH COSTA MESA FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER TO OFFER FREE SPANISH-LANGUAGE CHILDBIRTH PREPARATION AND MOMMY & ME CLASSES

Nonprofit’s Programs Help Underserved, Pregnant Women and their Families to Have Healthy Babies

SANTA ANA, Calif. (March 20, 2017) – Santa Ana-based nonprofit MOMS Orange County is now offering free Spanish-language childbirth preparation classes, as well as free Spanish-language “Mommy and Me” classes for parents-to-be and new parents in partnership with the Costa Mesa Family Resource Center.

Each of the courses will be held at the Costa Mesa Family Resource Center, located in the Melinda Hoag Smith Center for Healthy Living in Newport Beach at 307 Placentia Ave. The classes are part of MOMS Orange County’s Health Education program and are specifically designed to enable new and expecting parents to gain the knowledge necessary to have a healthy pregnancy, positive childbirth experience, and give their baby the best possible start in life.

Childbirth Preparation is a 4-class series for expectant parents covering pregnancy anatomy and physiology, prenatal care, preparation for labor and delivery, postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding.

Mommy & Me is an 8-class series in which mothers and babies (ages 12-17 months) come together in a fun and creative group environment and learn activities to stimulate baby’s mental and physical development.

MOMS Orange County is one of the only providers of free Spanish-language prenatal and Spanish-language Mommy & Me classes in Orange County. To register or for more information, please call MOMS Orange County at (714) 972-2610 or (800) 787-5858.
